About The Owner
Mark Belair was born and raised in Belmont, MA. He took private lessons from age 8 to 11. He then attended art shows sponsored be Helen Van Wyke, who is considered to be one of the best oil painters in the country. She would invite artists and students into her home to watch her paint and tell stories about her life.

Later he was introduced to Lorraine Stehans, a former student of Helen's, who was ranked fourth best in the country. Mark studied under Stehans for eight years.
He sold various compositions throughout his early teens. His works have graced the walls of luminaries such as John Wayne, Sly Stallone, Elvis Presley, and Marilyn Monroe, to name a few.
In his mid twenties, he attended art classes at Boston's Museum of Fine arts, but did not actively pursue his art career until recently. His paintings are in fine are galleries in Boston, MA, Newport, RI, and Manhattan, NY. The price range for his works is between $1,500 and $10,000.
Mark resides in coastal New Hampshire. He owns and operates the Crazy Cat Lounge, a blues and jazz club.
